The Interview
Damien Senn: What first inspired you to explore Coaching?
Jonathan O'Beirne: Coaching has become such a big business I wanted to see why there was such a demand for it. I had some good business ideas but I had no idea how to put them into practice. I had a feeling that a coach would be the perfect solution.
Damien Senn: How did you first find out about Senn-Sational.com?
Jonathan O'Beirne: I was surfing the web, checking out ads on Craigslist and I came across Damien's web page.
Damien Senn: What did you want to get out of your coaching experience?
Jonathan O'Beirne: I wanted some guidance and also to get some feedback for my ideas.
Damien Senn: What major challenges were you confronted with before you started your coaching program?
Jonathan O'Beirne: Taking the first step is always a big challenge for me. There is a lot of pressure placed on you when you try to do something out of the norm. People don't want you to take risks, so it is hard to find someone open minded enough to discuss your ideas with.
Damien Senn: What impact did the complimentary coaching session have upon you?
Jonathan O'Beirne: The complimentary session had a big impact on me. It introduced me to other possibilities and opportunities. I always knew I wanted to work for myself - I just didn't know how to go about it. Damien is very open minded and helpful.
Damien Senn: Tell me a little more about the projects you have been working on since you started your coaching program?
Jonathan O'Beirne: Since I started my coaching program I have launched a startup company in loss prevention. I have produced a training DVD for the hospitality industry and have partnered up with another company to begin marketing it.
I have also completed an e-book about alcohol dependence and have launched two websites to promote it. Both sites are completely automated, so I am now making money while I sleep! It is very exciting to see it all come together.
Damien Senn: What's the best thing about having your own coach?
Jonathan O'Beirne: Having your own coach is invaluable. Every time I have a problem that seems insurmountble I talk it over with my coach and it seems to resolve itself.
Damien Senn: Isn't it a little strange having a coach who is based in London when you live in San Diego, California?
Jonathan O'Beirne: Though I have never met my coach in person I feel as though we have been close friends for a long time. With modern technology it is easier to talk to him than it is to my own friends. Damien is usually just a mouseclick away. I don't even have to pick up the phone and dial. Using Skype I just click on his name and if he is available we are talking business in just a few seconds. If he is unavailable I just send him a message over Skype and he gets back to me before the end of the day. He is very dependable.
Damien Senn: What advice would you give to anyone thinking about hiring a coach?
Jonathan O'Beirne: If you are planning to take a bold step in life it is very important to consult with someone that can give you an objective and unbiased opinion. And when that person is as resourceful and knowledgeable as Damien Senn it is much easier to get to where you want to be. I owe all of my recent accomplishments to Damien.
